He has a particular personal interest in and extensive knowledge of using the internet and digital tools for genealogy and family history work. Along with digitizing and restoring family photos, Lewis is currently researching his maternal grandfather’s family who settled in the North Otago area.
Lewis will cover a wide variety of topics from choosing what to make digital, using the right techniques to digitize photos and documents, keeping original and digital material safe. He will also provide examples of internet research strategies that he has used in his own research, and cover how to make best use of what is available on the web.
