Incorporating Social Media into your Marketing/Networking Strategy April 2011

This 2 day workshop is designed to be hands-on and will teach you how to set up and use a range of the most effective social media tools.
The tools will include Twitter, Linked In, Facebook, Youtube, Flickr, Netvibes, iGoogle, Slideshare.
Topics covered include:Why build a social network for your business?;How and why a social network can work for you, the benefits a social network to remote or small communities; Demographics and traditional marketing from push to pull marketing and the theory of the long tail; Build it and they will come? How hard does your online presence work for you?; What tools can you use to make sure that web traffic comes to your website, wiki, blog etc; How connecting and informing builds traffic; Pulling it all together. Linking the parts to ensure that the egg timer is flowing both ways. You are sending out information, sharing information, picking up information and linking back to your primary objective, your blog, wiki, Facebook page or website.
